So to give a little background...
I moved into the erotica genre more by accident than anything else. A couple of guys on Gozo were having a website built to promote and sell the straight erotica books one of them had churned out. I had written some gay romance by this point in my life (the blueprint for Naked Hero) and they suggested I spice it up and become their 'gay' author on the site. I did it for a laugh, never thinking that anything would come of it, and rattled off some more short stories to bulk things out. Professional site designers from Malta were involved, and they were creating links to other pure erotica sites in the UK (A1 - Adult Fictional, and Adult Erotica Ebooks, both of whom I still sell my work through). It soon became apparent that my stuff was by far the more popular, so more effort was poured into the 'gay' side of the site. This was the birth of 'Gay Boy Books' and my first incarnation as an erotica author - Fergie Boy. Gay Boy Books needed a banner, and I suggested this. I still wasn't taking it seriously, but thought this summed up what the work was about - stuff for gay blokes to jerk off to. I never realised until much later that the majority of my readers were women. The guys weren't keen, but I was sure it was the right choice, so they contacted the ToM Foundation and paid them $100 for the right to use the image. A waste of money, as the venture flopped. Gay Boy Books never took off, and the guys went back to their day jobs.
Fergie Boy, however, having found alternative outlets, went on to write more books, most of a specialist nature. He also found a new sub-genre (M/M BDSM) and a different name. Fergie Boy quickly grew up, and he became...
Jack.
